Dibrugarh is pne of the largest tea exporting town in India, Dibrugarh is the headquarters of Dibrugarh District in province and is at the northern-most tip of the state. Situated on the banks of the River Brahmaputra, it is the gateway to the threesome tea producing districts of Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat. These threesome areas account for approximately 50% of India s province tea pasture and this gives Dibrugarh its rightly earned study as the Tea municipality of India. Dibrugarh is also the education hub of upper Assam. With Dibrugarh University, province Medical College and numerous other institutes of repute it is a major contributor to the education front in Assam. The historic John Berry White Medical School established in 1914 was the prototypal centre for conventional scrutiny education in North East India. Dibrugarh is also the gateway to whatever districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Sightseeing Highlights
Namdapha National Park, which is 160 km from Dibrugarh, distribute over 1,985 sq km, is the largest national park of Arunachal Pradesh and one of the largest wildlife protected area in India. Namdapha is also known as a Botanist’s dream.
